As a global marketplace, Taleemgah currently offers students the ability to buy courses in many different currencies. Taleemgah instructors, regardless of their location, have the option of setting a new course price in any of the currencies we support.
Below are answers to the more frequently asked questions we receive regarding currencies, and how currencies are assigned to Taleemgah accounts.

Which currencies does Taleemgah support?
Currently, Taleemgah offers students the ability to purchase courses in the following currencies: American Dollar (USD), British Pound (GBP), Euro (EUR), Japanese Yen (JPY), Singaporean Dollar (SGD), Mexican Peso (MXN), Brazilian Real (BRL), Canadian Dollar (CAD), Australian Dollar (AUD), Israel Shekel (ILS), Thailand Baht (THB), Taiwan New Dollar (TWD) South African Rand (ZAR), Indian Rupee (INR), Polish Zloty (PLN), Turkish Lira (TRY), Norway Krone (NOK), South Korea Won (KRW), Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) and Russian Ruble (RUB).
By default, students who do not have one of our supported currencies assigned to their Taleemgah account will see prices set in either EUR or USD.
Courses can also be purchased via Taleemgah’s mobile app in all currencies supported by the Apple App Store and Google Play.
How is my account’s currency determined?
The currency is set based on the IP location of where your Udemy account was created. By default, students who do not have one of our supported currencies assigned to their Udemy account, will see prices set in either EUR or USD.
All instructors, regardless of location, have the option of setting a new course price in any of Taleemgah’s supported currencies.
How can I change the currency for my account?
Due to international tax and compliance laws we are not permitted to change the currency of an account, from the one that is for the nation you are currently residing or located in.
However, if you reside in a different nation than the one your Taleemgah account was created in, and are presently located in the country of your residence, please contact our support team so we can assist you further.
How can I see what currency is assigned for my account?
The currency that is assigned for your account will be indicated in the course prices you see when you search for courses on the Taleemgah marketplace. Please be sure that you’re logged into your Taleemgah account, however, so that the correct currency is indicated.
In addition, if you’ve purchased a course before, you can also see what currency is registered for your account by reviewing receipts in your Purchase History.
Why have I seen two different currencies at Taleemgah.online?
Please be sure to log into your Taleemgah account in order to see the currency that is assigned to your account. If you are traveling or are using someone else’s computer, then the currency you see might be based on the device’s current location or that person’s account, rather than your own.
In addition, if you’re using the Taleemgah mobile app, please remember that the app features currencies supported by the Apple App Store and Google Play, and can differ from Taleemgah.online.
I noticed my country’s currency is available on the mobile app but not at Taleemgah.online. How come?
As noted above, Taleemgah’s mobile app features the currencies that are supported by the Apple App Store and Google Play.
How are you calculating exchange rates?
Udemy uses a country-specific price tier matrix to determine a student’s localized price. You can see the price tier matrix here. The matrix will be updated periodically based on market conditions.
What taxes are charged for Taleemgah courses?
Currently, students who reside in the European Union (EU), South Korea, Japan, New Zealand and Australia will be charged VAT (Value Added Tax) or GST (Goods & Services Tax) when they purchase a course. For more information on taxes please read our Taxes: Student FAQs.
Does Taleemgah charge any conversion or third party fees?
Taleemgah does not charge any currency conversion fees when you purchase a course. If you purchase a course in a currency that’s different from your payment method’s currency, however, your provider or third-party payment processor may apply a currency conversion rate or fees. Please contact your payment provider or bank for information on what fees may apply.
